Cleanazine is the safest hydrazine remediation technology available, developed as a method to deal safely with hydrazine and monomethyl hydrazine by a chemical process that produces a nonhazardous waste stream.
Cleanazine is a naturally occurring, patented organic compound with a very low hazard rating. The process has been tested by NASA and successfully used by a nuclear power plant to neutralize 96,000 gallons of water containing hydrazine.
Many industries use hydrazine daily as hydrazine (Hz) and monomethylhydrazine (MMH), are extremely useful fuels. Industries utilize hydrazine in the manufacturing of agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals, in photography, and as a corrosion inhibitor (oxygen scavenger) in boiler systems at power plants.
